Biographie
Bass and double-bass player Cédric Dind-Lavoie is quite active on the Montreal music scene. Very early in his twenties, Cédric had the chance to play with talented artists from a broad range of musical backgrounds — Nathalie Cora, Dobacaracol or Juan Sebastian Larobina, to name but a few. The strong affinity he felt for West African cultures led him to perform with Prince Diabaté, Balla Tounkara and Lilison Di Kinara at major festivals and on a more permanent basis with artists like Alpha Thiam, Kabakuwo as well as the band Bolo Kan. In 2009, he graduated from the Université de Montréal with a bachelor’s degree in jazz double-bass. Versatile multi-instrumentalist and accomplished musician, Cédric divides his time between the stage and studio sessions, between pop music arrangements and the creation of soundtracks for multi-disciplinary projects. From time to time, you might also see him on stage with Jorane, Alejandra Ribera or Yves Lambert and his Bébert Orchestra.
