Each corporate member may designate up to three delegates for any given year. These individuals shall have the right to vote and be eligible to sit on the board of directors. The delegates must be identified prior to the annual general assembly.
BECOMING A CORPORATE MEMBER To join the CQM, the organization must provide the CQM the following documents: 1. A photocopy of its charter, letters of incorporation, letters patent, or any other document attesting to its legal status; 2. At least one document proving that its activities related to concert music are of a professional nature; 3. The application form duly completed, accompanied by the membership dues. * Joint venture / Undeclared partnership A joint venture, also known as an undeclared partnership, is a partnership that is not a legal person and does not have a juridical personality, and whose partners act in their own name on behalf of all partners. The contract by which a joint venture is established may be written or verbal or may arise from facts indicating the intention to form a joint venture. All Québec general and limited partnerships that are not registered with the Registraire des entreprises du Québec (REQ) are considered joint ventures.

It is not a legal person, though it does possess certain characteristics of a legal person. A limited partnership is created by contractual agreement and must be registered with the Registraire des entreprises du Québec.

BECOMING AN INDIVIDUAL MEMBER To join the CQM, the individual must provide the CQM the following documents: 1. One document explaining his/her professional activities related to concert music; 2. The application form duly completed, accompanied by the membership dues. Once the CQM receives the documents, a decision is usually rendered rapidly.
